Here Comes The Sun

Image
Since I was a little girl, I always loved it when the sun rose because it always brings light to the world so that I could have a clear view of things that I experience. During my hard days, I always remember how the sun always rises and never ceases to, signifying that hope always rises. I also love it as the suns rises or sets, I could see the beautiful colors in the sky and clouds that the sun creates with its glorifying rays. Hope For Ukraine

Image
Hope For Ukraine by Micaela Jones, 03.01.22 As many of you know, I've been drawing & painting from the time I was a little girl. As you also know, Ukraine is going through a hellish crisis as Russian forces are invading the country and Putin has just threatened to invade Finland should they join the NATO. Hearing what is happening now in Europe, I felt inspired to do a digital painting of a little girl praying for hope and peace as Ukraine is being invaded. Even though the country is being invaded and fear is being brought out through war & terror, there is still hope for peace & freedom. I title this painting, "Hope For Ukraine," and my message from this picture is that hope is not lost. It is still there and Putin has not won yet. How my heart breaks, how my spirit is filled with anger over Putin's cowardice & ruthlessness. I pray that Ukraine will have the strength to conquer the enemy, and that Finland will have the courage to refuse to stand dow...

The Mystical Tree

Image
Long ago, a clan of warriors traveled by sea with their families in search of shelter from a dreadful war. But, it wasn’t the only force behind their escape. The voyagers were seeking a tree believed to have the power to heal all wounds and illnesses.      After many days at sea, the warriors found the land to venture through the forests for this healing tree. With the golden compass of an explorer, the men succeeded in their long quest. One warrior pulled out one of its fruits that hung above to see if this was the tree. His broken arm was repaired to his great delight after one bite of the fruit. Soon, everyone partook of it, and their sufferings were cured.

9/11: Coming Together As A Nation

Image
Photo Credit: NABUR by the Green Valley News & Sahuarita Sun Yesterday was truly a day of honor & remembrance, especially for those who've been affected by the events twenty years ago on September 11. I'm grateful for this day to take the opportunity to share the thoughts & feelings that I have gained recently, relating particularly to yesterday. These are insights I'd like to share with everyone--my family & friends, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that I'm a part of, and everyone else worldwide. Photo Credit: Sean Adair/Reuters Twenty years ago, on September 11, it started like any normal day of the year. Everyone rose up in the morning to get ready for work, school, run errands, or travel where they were needed. Nobody expected anything but a calm, beautiful day on September 11. But at 8:46 a.m., that peaceful silence broke into devastating chaos with the sound of an explosion in Lower Manhattan of New York City. An American...

Heed The Carp!

Image
Over the river and through the woods, Wait for the grey mists to clear. But first, forget what you see And listen to the strings of the harp Before you open your mouth. If you choose to gather your goods For your departure, go to the pier. There you will find a friend for thee. Follow the red beam and you'll discover a carp. My friend is a carp, yes, but he came for you. No, not from the south. East. All the way from the east, yes. But listen to what I say Because this is important. Ignore the jigs for once because they're a drunken mess. I put my grip on your shoulder, left and right. I may Not tell you if you don't stay still! I'll no longer be your informant. I'm glad to be your friendly reminder. My patience is running thin! When you find the big fish, put your eyes on him. Not the unsightly sights of the party. Ignore the noise! Put your ears on his words. His wisdom rings true within The heart. If your soul belongs to Canada and not Tim, The fish will tell y...

Gator New York

Image
Beyond the lights of New York City, amongst the herd of ordinary humans walking street to street, there was one being that can almost stand out literally like a sore thumb. Only... He wasn't a sore thumb. If he were a thumb, how would he go about from place to place? I suppose if he were to move like a worm or a caterpillar, that'd be possible. But going back to the topic of the story, this character was not a thumb as we all know. However, he would be a sore sight for some people because he's not your typical man for you, lovely ladies.     What is he? Well... Um...     I will tell you what he is. But... You must brace yourself as what I'm about to tell you is real. It's no nightmare, and it's no joke. It's real and it's the truth--the real truth.     My human friends, this fellow... Is...     (Clang)     An alligator. An alligator. An ALLIGATOR! It's no joke like I told you. He is an alligator. A real live reptilian blue lizard t...
