Heed The Carp!

Over the river and through the woods,
Wait for the grey mists to clear.
But first, forget what you see
And listen to the strings of the harp
Before you open your mouth.

If you choose to gather your goods
For your departure, go to the pier.
There you will find a friend for thee.
Follow the red beam and you'll discover a carp.
My friend is a carp, yes, but he came for you. No, not from the south.

East. All the way from the east, yes.
But listen to what I say
Because this is important.

Ignore the jigs for once because they're a drunken mess.
I put my grip on your shoulder, left and right. I may
Not tell you if you don't stay still! I'll no longer be your informant.

I'm glad to be your friendly reminder. My patience is running thin!
When you find the big fish, put your eyes on him.
Not the unsightly sights of the party. Ignore the noise!

Put your ears on his words. His wisdom rings true within
The heart. If your soul belongs to Canada and not Tim,
The fish will tell you to go there. Heed his voice.
