Thoughts on the New Zealand Mosque Shootings

I can't seem to find the right words to express how I feel about what has recently happened in New Zealand, except to say that I share my condolences with all those who are suffering from the aftermath of the shootings. It brings me not only anger but also a great sadness that the individuals responsible for the tragedies would commit such horrific, immoral, gruesome, evil acts of hate out of their pride and belief that the white race is superior over the others. The truth is, there is no superior race. I don't believe in that.

Whether we are white or not, rich or poor, Christian or not, tall or short, there is neither any race that is superior nor inferior to the other. We are all human beings with feelings, consciences, and agencies. We, humans, also have our flaws, our imperfections. But, we are not without the worth that God sees within us for we are His creations.

"Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh upon the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)
